IAIM-certified infant massage courses

Learn baby massage with your pēpi under 12 months

I am certified to teach the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) 5-week baby massage course and currently run groups in Kapiti, Whitby (Porirua) and Lower Hutt. My classes are safe, nurturing spaces where we talk openly and non-judgementally about parenthood, its joys and its challenges. Plus, I always bake and ensure you get the chance to enjoy a hot drink!

The IAIM course is suitable to begin from birth, and has wide-ranging benefits for parent and pēpi alike:

  • relieve symptoms of colic, wind/gas and other gastrointestinal discomforts in pēpi

  • support healthy sleep

  • enhance bonding and attachment between whānau and pēpi

  • stimulate babies' physical (including brain) and emotional development

  • teach parents to recognise babies' cues and behavioural states

  • reduce the severity and impact of postnatal depression and anxiety

NB: I also run courses in healthcare settings and in tandem with other perinatal classes. Get in touch if you are interested in me talking about infant massage and its benefits in your setting.
